Buffet breakfast is included in the rate and will be served between 7 and 10 am in the restaurant. The hotel offers breakfast packets for persons who want to eat earlier.
The restaurant serves excellent Hungarian and international cuisine. It is open
from 7am to 11pm.
The beer garden is half covered and so can be used even when it's raining. Open from May to September between noon and 10pm.
AREA INFORMATION
Hotel Szőnyi is situated near the city centre, in the green belt of Budapest and also near the motorway M3.
Places of interest in the hotel's neighbourhood are the City Park (Petőfi Hall, Vajdahunyad Castle), Heroes' Square (Museum of Fine Arts, Art Gallery), the recently reconstructed Széchenyi Thermal Bath with Budapest's best medicinal water, the Skating Rink, the Amusement Park, the Budapest Grand Circus, Budapest Zoo, Budapest Transportation Museum, BVSC Sport Centre, the Budapest Arena, and the Puskas Stadium.
The Budapest International Fair (Hungexpo) and the Hungaroring (M3) are easily accessible either by car or taxi.

In the neighborhood of the hotel, guests arriving by car can follow the signposts.
By car from the city center:
Deák tér - Andrássy út - Hősök tere - Kós Károly sétány - Kacsóh Pongrác út (next to the motorway) - take left on Nagy Lajos király út overpass - turn right to Szőnyi út
By car from the motorways M1-M7:
Erzsébet híd - Kossuth Lajos út - Rákoczi út - Baross tér - Thököly út - turn left to Mexikói út - turn right to Szőnyi út
By car from Miskolc-M3:
take exit to Nagy Lajos király út - turn left after Agip gas station - turn right to Szőnyi út
By car from M5:
Nagykőrösi út - turn right to Könyves Kálmán körút - Hungária körút - right to Thököly út - turn left to Mexikói út - turn right to Szőnyi út
Parking information:
Free private parking places are situated in the courtyard. The hotel offers 44 free parking spots for cars, and 2 more for buses or coaches.
Arrival by public transportation:
Deák tér - Underground M1 (Millenium Underground Railway) to last stop (Mexikói út) - ten minutes walk to Szőnyi út / take bus Nr. 25. - get off at the 2. stop (you will see an Agip gas station on your left hand side) - cross the overpass.

are only available for children. Please note that only 3 rooms offer the possibility of an extra bed, so it have to be reserved in advance!

Unfortunately the hotel is not accessible for wheel chairs.
